• Official Ribbon-Cutting of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade

  The mile-long Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade traverses through the sand from the 14th Avenue to 2nd Avenue Piers in Myrtle Beach. The boardwalk will provide oceanfront views of the pristine beachline.
  
• The Blue Crab Festival

  Buzz Aldrin, NASA Astronaut and "Dancing With The Stars" celebrity and American Idol Season 6 Winner Jordin Sparks and Mitchel Musso from Hannah Montana are scheduled to appear.
  
• Memorial Day Parade

  The parade will feature more than 25 parade floats, eight giant helium-filled balloon characters, 10 walk-around inflatables, marching and military bands, nonprofit and veteran walking groups, cars with celebrities, beauty queens and dignitaries and other participants.
  
  

• Sun Fun Festival

  The Sun Fun Festival includes two days of free live entertainment, professional sporting events, Miss Sun Fun/Teen Pageant, food and arts/crafts vendors, free celebrity meet-and-greets, free concert by Lifehouse, free kid’s zone and much, much more!
  
• Grand Strand Sports & Fishing Festival

  This is a nautical theme festival, with featuring the highest quality vendors & merchandise. Hunting, fishing, boating, kayaking, surfing & more will be hi lighted during this three day event.
  
• Surfside Beach Super Saturday
  June 11 - June 13, 2010
  Arts/Crafts & Food Vendors will be in place for fun events & activities for the whole family! This will take place on the beach from Surfside Pier to 2nd Ave. S., Surfside Beach.
  

• Fourth of July Concert
  July 4, 2010
  Residents and visitors alike join in the celebrations which include music, food, and fireworks among other festivities. It is held at the Myrtle Beach Memorial Stadium.
